12 years after its creation, the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU) is the main decision-making body of the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA). While certain gaps exist between the Council’s normative prescriptions and activities, its policy processes could also be improved to enhance its ability to tackle peace and security challenges on the continent.
